International Payroll Manager (d/f/m)

As our International Payroll Manager at Personio, you are part of the People, Workplace & IT Team and the main point of contact for our employees when it comes to payroll related topics. Furthermore, you will be part of the People Operations team who are constantly driving and improving HR processes for Personio Employees. 

Your tasks and responsibilities will include:

  • You will own all Irish and Spain Payroll supporting more than 500 employees (by end of year), and internal key stakeholders in regards to our internal Payroll processes.

  • You will prepare our internal payroll on a monthly basis. This includes preparing payroll for Ireland, Spain, auditing data, assessing quality and accuracy of information, preparing data for processing, partner with external advisors on Payroll calculations, and approve Payroll data for payments.

  • You will be the main point of contact with our payroll external partners on day to day international payroll, especial consultation cases, overall vendor management and service improvement

  • You will exchange correspondence with health insurance companies, tax offices, legal authorities, etc. in Ireland and Spain.

  • You will be a key contributor on the topics of total rewards, benefits, and new policies, plus any other internal consultation for Payroll related matters

  • You will assist with onboarding and offboarding processes at Personio (last payslips calculations, communication to respective authorities, etc.)

  • You will handle our internal help desk service (Jira tickets) regarding payroll related inquiries from our employees

  • You will support People Operations and other teams on global HR projects.

  • You will become a Personio product expert and help us offer the best possible customer experience to our employees

What you need to succeed

  • You have successfully completed your business studies with a focus on accounting, controlling, finance or HR.

  • You have at least 3 year of experience in preparing international payroll for companies. It is mandatory to have prior payroll experience for employees in  Ireland and Spain.

  • You are familiar with questions and processes relating to payroll, compensation, benefits, overall taxation, and/or HR topics for Ireland and Spain.

  • You have experience shaping technology to set-up Payroll and employee's data while customizing HRMs to becoming the main "source of truth" for HR.

  • You have experience working with HRMS tools to export employee data needed for payroll preparation. Knowledge of Personio HRMS is a plus.  

  • You are very customer-oriented and are looking for ways to improve processes and procedures while drive employees to an outstanding experience.

  • You have a very diligent work style that can manage simultaneous projects without missing any details.

  • You are a team player, passionate about working with talented teammates located globally. Your heart beats for receiving and giving feedback while growing both personally and professionally

  • You are communicative with very good English and Spanish (C1) spoken and written.

  • Nice to have - Shadow payroll and international payroll experience in Netherlands and UK
