You will join the squad responsible for Personio Knowledge Automation, a concierge for employees answering their requests automatically. Knowledge Automation is part of the People Workflow Automation initiative. PWA automates people workflows across the employee lifecycle across different tools and teams, enabling HR to go beyond HR and win back valuable time through automation, time that can then be spent on and with people.

Role & Responsibilities
You'll join a team working on the latest software Personio is releasing which will improve the experience of every employee working for Personio's customers.
With the help of our product manager, you'll design and implement new features that our customers will love.
Create and solidify high quality UI components, hooks and utilities with React to enable delivery teams to contribute to the design system.
You'll lead by example and push our engineering practices towards excellence with efficient, performant code, good design patterns and healthy engineering standards.
Advocate adoption and enable implementation of the design system across entire teams.
Go beyond the UI Library challenges and contribute to CI/CD improvements.
You'll mentor junior engineers, reviewing their code and RFCs to help them grow in their career.
You'll participate in technical case interviews to bring in exceptional talent such as yourself.

We are a product company, so our teams are organised in a mission-based cross-functional fashion. You will work in the Workflows and Integrations Domain, alongside other Backend Engineers, Designers, Product and Engineering managers to create the building blocks to automate processes in all other customer-facing domains.
We have a “you built it, you run it” attitude and CI/CD is second nature to us - we use AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and GitLab to implement it
What you need to succeed
Skills you bring
You have concrete knowledge in TypeScript, React, NextJs, SCSS, CSS Modules, Style Dictionary, Rollup, Webpack, Nx among others for the frontend engineering.
You have a deep understanding of DOM, CSSOM, DOM events, Critical Render Path (CRP), semantic versioning, package distribution, client and server-side rendering (CSR, SSR).
You have a DesignOps mindset with a proven track records of maintaining code libraries.
You have experience with micro-frontends, event-driven, functional and reactive programming.
You can translate Domain strategy into engineering decisions.
You have strong knowledge on software testing strategies, CI/CD, pull/merge request and code reviews.
You have excellent communication skills to provide technical guidance and leadership.
You have an excellent written and spoken English (level C1/C2 on the CEFR scale).

Proactive problem solver. You are willing to leave code and engineering practices in a better shape than when you first encountered them.
