As a Product Expert within the Customer Experience Enablement Organization, you serve as the interface between the customer and Product development and support both areas equally. You collaborate with Product and Engineering as our customers’ advocate, ensuring through data-driven insights and consultation services that Personio meets or exceeds customer expectations. At the same time, you communicate with and educate your Customer Experience colleagues about relevant product updates and changes, which enables them to deliver best-in-class service.

Your responsibilities include:

Product & Engineering Collaboration:

  • You build and sustain deep product knowledge within your area of ownership and gain functional product knowledge of adjacent areas
  • You enable Product to gain a better understanding of the customer experience by representing the customer's perspective and needs in sprint reviews and standups, discovery activities, design sprints, and other agile ceremonies
  • You partner with members of Product, Design, and Engineering (PDE) to gather, interpret, and track relevant product and customer usage and adoption data
  • You co-host customer calls for research and discovery purposes
  • You coordinate QA and regression testing for product releases, Beta tests, and feedback-gathering events
  • You help reproduce, troubleshoot, and triage bugs in collaboration with PMs and Engineers and play a key role in managing customer-facing incidents
  • You are considered a key business partner in process improvement projects by collaborating with Product Managers, Engineers, Designers, and Product Operations

Customer Experience Enablement:

  • You manage and coordinate customer-facing product release events and beta tests
  • You communicate, document, and organize knowledge about product releases, updates, deprecations, and other changes to the Customer Experience organization in a digestible and structured way
  • You develop concepts and administration of campaigns to increase product use and adoption
  • You offer the highest level of internal CX technical support and support the wider CX organization with Product roadmap questions, User Group Meeting presentations and Q&As, and serve as point of escalation with customers
  • You collect and analyze customer feedback and behavior and advocate for its prioritization with product teams
  • You identify process gaps within CX and actively contribute to a solution
  • You are involved in projects that drive organizational impact for the Product Expert Team
What you need to succeed
  • You have a degree with a business, technical, IT, product or data focus 
  • You have less than 3 years of relevant professional experience, ideally in the B2B/SaaS/service environment, working closely with customer-facing and/or product teams
  • You work independently, effectively, and have a high level of problem-solving skills 
  • You are a team player but also assertive, resilient, and very motivated
  • You have strong technical skills, interest and knowledge, particularly in the area of web-based software and software development processes
  • You possess clear and structured communication (e.g., ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences, ability to distill key pieces of information into a summarized update, etc.)
  • You demonstrate data mining and analysis skills (e.g., by using SQL, spreadsheets and comparable tools)
  • You have the ability to learn quickly, are comfortable with frequent context-switching and are resourceful when it comes to problem-solving
  • You have project management experience or skills
  • Ideally, you have previous experience in a customer-facing role
  • You have a very good written expression and strong communication skills in English, German a plus
