Group Accountant (m/f/d)

The Role
We are more than a support team. As we keep on growing, we are looking for you to become part of our strong team and support us in taking group accounting and consolidation within the Accounting & Tax department at Personio to a best-in-class level as a Group Accountant (m/f/d).
You will strongly contribute to our mission of ensuring Personio’s permanent establishments and foreign legal entities have a reliable contact person in accounting, make sure intercompany transactions are accounted for completely and accurately as well as actively support in consolidation process and preparation of group financial information. We want to see your passion for setting-up processes and compiling financial information from scratch, continuously finding ways of improvement and making use of customizations & the newest tools.

Your responsibilities will cover but are not limited to:

  • Be a strong and reliable accounting business partner for foreign subsidiaries and PEs
  • Ensure accurate and complete intercompany accounting
  • Assist in and assure timely and quality group reporting of Personio’s subsidiaries
  • Actively contribute to periodic consolidation and compilation of group financial statements
  • Set-up, monitoring and analysis of monthly reporting
  • Make the best use of IT tools, be it e. g. Excel/GSheets, state of the art ERP system or other tools
  • Support continuous improvement of our accounting and reporting processes
  • Cooperate and communicate effectively with internal stakeholders & other parties
What you need to succeed
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience in auditing and/or accounting, preferably in a “Big 4” audit firm (or equivalent) or a fast-growing B2B tech, software or SaaS environment
  • And/or experience in working in a group accounting / financial reporting role
  • Strong general, group accounting and consolidation knowledge
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Tech-savvy with great knowledge of GSheets and/or MS Excel
  • Driven by quality, yet being pragmatic and solution-oriented
  • Proactive mindset with a passion to build from scratch and drive continuous improvement
  • Curiosity-driven, low-ego approach to collaboration, and a willingness to take ownership and push tasks to completion
  • Effective communication with stakeholders across the company
  • Fluent in English language, German or any other language is a plus
