You will work with effective, autonomous, cross-functional product-based teams, ensuring the delivery of complex and large-scale technical programs with a huge business impact. To do so, you facilitate the planning and execution of complex programs to tackle our current and future needs.
As a Senior Technical Program Manager, you will be leading the execution of technical programs needed to achieve Personio’s strategic vision. You make an impact by cutting through ambiguity, creating clarity across the organisation, and connecting product and engineering teams to execute on the organisation’s goals.

As a Senior Technical Program Manager, you will be leading the execution of technical programs needed to achieve Personio’s strategic vision. You make an impact by cutting through ambiguity, creating clarity across the organisation, and connecting product and engineering teams to execute on the organisation’s goals.
Your tasks and responsibilities will include:
- Working in line with overall company planning cycles, manage the program across the program lifecycle:
- Initiation - define the program scope, objectives (OKRs), requirements, and risks in order to achieve the organisation’s strategic plan, OKRs, priorities, vision and mission
- Planning - establish the program roadmap, showing milestones, timelines and dependencies, evaluating the technology, capability and resourcing needs to achieve the program’s OKRs and deliverables
- Executing - drive product and engineering development, managing dependencies across multiple domains to deliver engineering solutions to technical challenges
- Controlling - monitor and report on actual progress against plan to technology and business stakeholders. Manage change, risks and issues, facilitating decision-making and escalations (where needed) in accordance with the program management plan.
- Closing - manage program closure in accordance with exit criteria, evaluate achievement of OKRs and benefits against plan, obtain approval from program approvers and transition to BAU
- Manage a wide range of stakeholders (e.g. program sponsor and other program approvers):
- Crystalise stakeholder needs, translating this into program objectives and deliverables
- Keep stakeholders informed and up to date of program progress, risks and issues
- Drive a unified product and engineering culture, fostering joint ownership of business and technical requirements for a robust and innovative product
- Define, evangelise and embed best practice program management disciplines, processes, tools and templates
- Provide coaching and support to other team members and broader P&E community on execution best practices
