Senior Payroll Specialist - International

As Senior Payroll Specialist - International you are part of the People & Workplace Team and the main point of contact for our employees when it comes to payroll related topics. Furthermore you will be part of the People Operations team who are constantly improving HR processes at Personio.

Here is a list of your core responsibilities and contributions:

  • Being the main PoC for Payroll related matters for the UK and Ireland and in collaboration in other markets (This is an individual contributor role).
  • You will be part of the responsible HR team addressing all questions around our internal payroll
  • You will prepare our internal payroll on a monthly basis. This includes preparing payroll for Ireland, UK and Netherlands (~250 to 400 employees by end of 2022)
  • You will be the main point of contact with our payroll external partners on day to day international payroll, especial consultation cases, overall vendor management and service improvement 
  • You will exchange correspondence with health insurance companies, tax offices, legal authorities, etc.
  • You will be a key contributor with the topics of total rewards and benefits
  • You will assist with onboarding and off-boarding processes at Personio
  • You will handle the Jira tickets regarding payroll related inquiries from our employees
  • You become a Personio product expert and help us offer the best possible customer experience our employees
What you need to succeed
  • You have successfully completed your business studies with a focus on accounting, controlling, finance or HR related studies
  • You have at least 5 year of experience in preparing international payroll for companies (mandatory experience with Ireland and UK payroll)
  • You are familiar with questions and processes relating to payroll, compensation, benefits, overall taxation, and/or HR topics
  • You have experience shaping technology to set-up Payroll and employee’s data while customising HRMs to becoming the main “source of true” for HR  
  • You are very customer-oriented and are looking for ways to improve processes and procedures while drive employees to an outstanding experience 
  • You have a very diligent work-style that can manage simultaneous projects without missing any details
  • You are a team player, passionate about working with talented teammates located globally. Your heart beats for receiving and giving feedback while growing both personally and professionally
  • You are communicative with very good English (C1) spoken and written. Spanish is nice to have.
