As Team Lead Global Payroll & Commission (m/f/d) you are part of the People & Workplace Team and the main point of contact for key stakeholders when it comes to payroll & commission related topics globally, this means, for all 5 countries Personio has operations (Germany, Ireland, Netherlands, Spain and UK) at plus any future location. Furthermore, you will be part of the People Operations Team who is leading and shaping many people frameworks that will need to be assessed and implemented from a payroll perspective. This role reports to the Head of People Operations.

What are the most important duties of this role?:
- You will design and lead the Payroll and Commissions strategy for all Personio (globally) and be responsible for the full-cycle payroll operation involving more than 1500 employees globally distributed. This includes Payroll Preparation and Payroll calculation, and final approvals, with the management of external and internal partners addressing the different parts of the Payroll cycle.
- You will be part of the responsible HR team addressing all questions and inquiries around our internal payroll & commission operations
- Be the go-to person for peers and external stakeholders in terms of Payroll & Commission expertise
- Implementing and integrating new benefits in the Payroll processing
- You will work closely with Finance, Controlling, and legal teams to facilitate dependencies, looking for process improvement and process excellence.
- Build, lead and develop a highly motivated and focused team
- Continuously coordinate the needs of the employees/stakeholder in alignment with the legal requirements for payroll
- Enable your team to drive operation of payroll & commission topics/requirements
- Operationally support your team with best practices, process improvements, general alignment, and Payroll expertise.
- Qualify the best criteria for our business/employees
- Constantly expand your payroll knowledge and keep up to date on legislative changes
- Enable, develop and support team members to excel in their job, take responsibility for Team members and their performance, empower them to act independently within their assigned area of responsibility
